Middle School
The Adolescent Montessori Program (AMP), a Montessori program for seventh and eighth grade students, offers an authentic Montessori adolescent program for approximately 30 students. It is temporarily housed in two modular classrooms on the Mendenhall River Community School campus. It is led by one full-time adolescent teacher, and one 3/4-time teacher, both who hold AMI Adolescent certificates. This program is funded collaboratively through the Juneau School District and SEAFOM. It is Juneau’s only alternative educational program for middle school students.
