The Montessori community in Juneau, Alaska consists of parents, teachers, and community members who are passionate about providing Montessori education to the children of Juneau. Our public and private programs serve children from ages 15 months to 15 years, and we are also involved in pre-natal and infant care in the community. Our community is associated with the Association Montessori Internationale (A.M.I.).
We believe education is a joyful, lifelong process based on a solid academic foundation. Employing the philosophy and materials of Maria Montessori, we provide a unique educational experience. Our mission is to educate young people to their fullest potential, instilling a deep sense of personal independence and social responsibility. With the knowledge that they are citizens of the world, our students contribute to this world by making decisions based on the highest order of ethics and conscience.
